Ingredients for
Judy's Steak Teriyaki
1 1/2 lb sirloin steak
1/4 cup soya sauce
1/4 cup olive oil or you can use half water to be healthier
2 Tbsp dry wine wine or wine vinegar
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 clove garlic
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 sliced sweet pepper
How to Make
Judy's Steak Teriyaki
Cut beef across grain to 1/8 inch slices,
Mix soya sauce, oil, wine, sugar, ginger, and garlic.
Stir in beef, coating each slice
Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour
Drain beef, reserving marinade
Cook beef in fry pan until light brown
Add sliced green peppers (optional)
Add enough cold water to reserved marinade to measure 1/2 cup
Shake marinade/water mixture and cornstarch in tightly covered container and stir gradually into beef
Heat to boiling then reduce heat
Simmer uncovered 5 min.
Notes
I put this dish on a bed of rice and like to serve it with peas on the side.
