Yorkshire pudding is an absolute roast beef dinner staple in our family. Originally made for Sunday dinner by Grandma Morand (Irene), then Mom (Emily) carried on the tradition and passed it down to me (Karen). "Never any leftovers, usually not enough!"

Ingredients for
Karen's Yorkshire Pudding

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt 
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 1 cup eggs (3 - 4 large)
  • 2 Tbsp pan drippings or canola oil, sunflower, vegetable or peanut oil (not olive oil)

How to Make
Karen's Yorkshire Pudding

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, salt & pepper.
  3. Add milk, oil and eggs and mix until combined.
  4. Add pan drippings or oil to a 12 hole muffin tins (1 tsp in each hole). 
  5. Place muffin tin in oven and heat oil for approximately 1 minutes or until hot.
  6. Remove from oven and quickly add pudding to muffin tins to 3/4 full.  
  7. Don't open the oven door until the end or they might collapse. 
  8. Serve hot and top with roast beef gravy. YUM!
