Some recipes are more than just a blend of ingredients—they’re a testament to friendship, courage, and a shared love for wellness.

While spending a quiet week at Cindy’s cottage in beautiful Huntsville, Jane managed something pretty special. She gently nudged her dear friend Cindy—who’s famously camera shy—into recording this cashew milk recipe on video. It wasn’t just any video. It was a heartfelt gift for Cindy's boys, a way to pass on the joy and health benefits of homemade nut milk.

Cindy and Jane’s friendship runs deep. They first connected years ago through the healing arts when Jane joined Cindy’s business, Integrative Healing Arts Studio. As practitioners and pioneers in the world of natural healing, they’ve spent years championing better choices—starting with what we eat and drink.

And now, thanks to a little persuasion and a lot of heart, Cindy’s once-hidden cashew milk recipe will live on—not just for her boys Dustin and Bryce, but for your family too. It’s a nourishing blend that’s creamy, clean, and made with love.

Recipe Servings

5 cups

Ingredients for
Nuts About Milk!

  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 4 cups water
  • 5 or 6 pitted dates
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla (optional)
  • 1 scoop protein powder (2 tablespoons)

How to Make
Nuts About Milk!

  1. Blend cashews, water, dates, salt and vanilla in a Vitamix blender for 1 to 2 minutes until cashews and dates are pulverized.
  2. Add protein powder and gently blend just until mixed. This will foam up if blended at too high a speed.
  3. Strain the milk and place in a glass container.
  4. Refrigerate for several hours until cold.
  5. Shake well and serve. Milk will separate as it sits in the fridge.
  6. Place back in fridge for next time!

Notes

You can change it up by using hemp hearts, slivered or whole almonds, or hazelnuts instead of cashews. You can also used different flavours of protein powder, add cocoa, add hemp hearts to your nut base, be creative and see what you like.
