Ingredients for
Oatmeal Cookies

  •  1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs (well beaten)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 1/2 cup of raisins
  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

How to Make
Oatmeal Cookies

  1.  Set the oven to 350°F.
  2.  Beat together shortening, brown sugar, and white sugar.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract and beat well.
  4. Whisk the flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon.
  5. Add what you have whisked to your sugar and egg mixture and mix well.
  6. Add the tablespoon of water.
  7. Add the raisins.
  8. Lastly, add oats to the mixture. 
  9. After mixing, spoon out handfuls on to a greased cookie sheet.
  10. Bake for 10 minutes at 350°F.
  11. After 10 minutes, remove to wire wrack to cool off
