This is a very basic recipe that I taught my boys to make when they first went on their own and started cooking for themselves.

Ingredients of
Baked Chicken

  • 1 Pkg 4-5 Boneless/skinless chicken breasts
  • Minced garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Onion Powder
  • Seasoning Salt
  • Olive oil


How to Make
Baked Chicken

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Rub the minced garlic on top of each of the chicken breasts and sprinkle with all the spices listed above.
  3. Flip the chicken breasts and spice the other side.
  4. Heat your frying pan to a medium high heat.
  5. Put enough oil in the pan to cover most of the pan … approximately 2 tbsp.
  6. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the chicken breasts in the pan.
  7. Cook for 2 minutes.
  8. Flip using the fork and cook the other side for 2 minutes.
  9. Transfer each chicken breast to a pan that is big enough to hold all four chicken breast.
  10. To make clean up easier you can line the pan with parchment paper.
  11. Put in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.


Notes

For different flavours change the spice by using Cajun Seasoning or Frank’s Red Hot Ranch Seasoning, or forget the spice and just use your favourite barbecue sauce. If using BBQ sauce … brown the chicken 2 minutes per side, move it to the pan and brush BBQ sauce on each side of the chicken before putting in the oven.
