Ingredients of
Mom’s Stuffing

  • 1 small bag of dried bread cubes (or dry your own)
  • 1 Tbsp. Poultry Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Pepper
  • 3/4 cup Margarine
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 - 2 stalks celery
  • Hot water

How to Make
Mom’s Stuffing

  1. In a large bowl, mix dried bread cubes with seasoning.
  2. In a small frying pan, heat margarine on medium low temperature and, when melted, saute the diced onion and celery for about 5 minutes or until tender and the onions are translucent.
  3. Pour the margarine, onions and celery over the bread cubes and stir. Add enough hot water so the stuffing is moist and sticks together.

Notes

To dry your own bread cubes, spread on a baking sheet and drape with a clean kitchen towel. Let them dry out at room temperature over 2 - 3 days.

If you don’t have the time, you heat the baking sheet at 225 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes until dry.
